About us

sheep-family.jpgMy name is Aneta, and I love good design. Pretty much anything, really: vintage prints, elegant old fonts, contemporary styling, and retro classics. I figured out that other people love the same things, so decided to start my own business making cushions that appealed to me – and see if anyone else wanted them.

This business was born around about the same time as my younger son, in 2012, and after some trial and error, we found what our customers love, and have run with it. After only a year, my partner Dominic quit his job as a computer engineer to join me, and since then we’ve got married, so are truly a husband-and-wife business! We do our best to keep on the right side of child labour laws, but our boys do help out sometimes. Stuffing cushions can be fun, with the right motivation…

In 2017, Demmie joined Vintage Designs Reborn, working with us to create bespoke illustrations for our cushions and prints. With a background in Graphic Design, Demmie shares colourful, creative ideas which we develop as a team, to make unique gifts just for you.

Everything we sell is made by us, at our home, here in Blairgowrie, and we use natural fabrics – a cotton/linen mix in several different colours. The back will be the same fabric as the front, and you can print a hidden message, like ‘with love from…’ or ‘I still say your feet smell’ if you choose!  The cushions are fastened with a zip, at the bottom, so you don’t see it when the writing is the right way up.

Our aim, as a company, is to provide beautiful, unique gifts, to help you celebrate the special people in your life. Whether that’s a wedding gift for your other half, an anniversary gift for friends, a housewarming or new baby present, something a bit different for Christmas, or a ‘just because’ present for your partner, they’re sure to love it. And because we can supply with or without cushion pads, the covers make excellent gifts to post to distant family members – discuss postage with us, but we’ve posted to some pretty obscure places before, so I’m sure we’ll make it work for you.

Our inspiration is drawn from old typography, labelling, songs, poetry, and comments from customers. We’re happy to discuss a completely bespoke design, if you can’t find quite what you need in our regular products – drop us a line!
